About Wiring and selling boards:
It's been a struggle trying to sell boards in the competitive market that has been created since the inception of Wiring and the rising popularity of Arduino.
We have a LIMITED number of these boards left. If there is enough demand, we can make more. Please let us know.
As such, we've decided to no longer manufacture and sell the Wiring S board, as it is not cost effective for us to try and compete.
We would love to hear your feedback, and suggestions on what we can do to support Wiring further.
Below is the information on the Wiring S board.
DESCRIPTION
Wiring is an open source electronics prototyping platform with it's own Wiring language, built upon Processing.
Wiring is more than hardware and software. The documentation was thoughtfully created with designers and artists in mind.
As an established electronics medium for art and design, Wiring enables designers, artists, and electronics enthusiasts explore the electronic arts, tangible media, electronics and computer programming education, and prototyping with electronics.
The Wiring S Board, along with the Wiring development environment, can be used to develop stand-alone interactive objects or can be connected to software on your computer (e.g. Flash, Processing, Isadora, VVVV, MaxMSP, Pd, C++, Java, Openframeworks, and many more) via USB. The open-source development environment can be downloaded for free (currently for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux).
The board comes fully assembled, tested, and pre-loaded with the Wiring serial bootloader.

DESCRIPTION
This is a Wiring S accessory board.
Paired with a Wiring S board, you can use Arduino shields.
Also, you can, optionally, populate the through-hole components for additional fun with the Wiring S board.

- A realtime clock (I2C - DS13x7) with coin cell battery connections
- A 24xxxx series I2C eeprom for more memory options.
However, these extra components are not included.
Only the headers are included in this configuration.
